Head Coach
Kelly Pierce returns as the club’s head coach for her third season after guiding FC Tucson to the 2021 Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) Desert Conference championship.
A Tucson native, Pierce has won four 4A state championships as head coach at her alma mater, Salpointe Catholic High School. She was recently named Arizona Republic’s All-Arizona Coach of the Year across all classes.
Pierce had a sterling career as a player at Salpointe, where she was a four-year starter and helped the team to back-to-back state championships. She was also a first-team all-state selection. She then went on to play at Pima Community College and one season with the Sonoran Thunder of the WPSL.
“Our program should be a place for current college players to train, stay fit, and get competitive games during their off-season,” said Piece. “It’s also great for the community to get out and watch high-level women’s soccer. It gives little girls a chance to watch a positive female role model; something for them to shoot for in the future.”
