
FC Tucson announced today the completion of a transfer that will see defender Sam Biek move to SV Horn in the Austrian Football Second League, effective immediately.
Biek, a native of Germany, played college soccer at Western Michigan University and signed with FC Tucson in July 2020. He made his club debut that month against Fort Lauderdale CF.
"I'm really pleased for him to have this opportunity, which is something he desired to do – play in Europe – and we wish him the best of luck," said Jon Pearlman, FC Tucson vice president of soccer operations. "He was a great asset to the club and a great steward for the FC Tucson crest."

Biek started in all 12 games he appeared in during the 2020 season. In those 1,062 minutes of play, Biek led the team in interceptions with 26 and was second in clearances with 35 and blocks, 12.
