FC Tucson announced Tuesday the addition of Josiah Romero.
Romero, a 24-year-old forward from San Jose, California, played most recently for Bay Cities FC in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). He made 11 appearances for Bay Cities, collecting five goals and adding two assists.

Romero also played in a pair of U.S. Open Cup matches for Bay Cities, including a third-round loss to MLS’ San Jose Earthquakes.
A graduate of Holy Names University in California, Romero led the Hawks in goals (five) and points (11) as a senior in 2018. He finished with 18 career goals and eight assists in 61 games for the NCAA Division II school.
Romero’s signing is pending league and federation approval.
