Kaelon Fox and Donny Toia tallied goals for FC Tucson on Saturday, and Monday they earned selection to the USL League One Team of the Week.
Fox, a center back, converted his first career professional goal on a header in the 19th minute to give FC Tucson a 2-1 lead over Charlotte Independence at Kino North Stadium.
The only player in Week 17 to complete 100% of his passes, FC Tucson’s captain recorded four recoveries.
Toia continued his torrid goal-scoring space since re-joining FC Tucson. His third goal in a span of 139 minutes over four games knotted the match at 1-1 in the 11th minute. Toia also had 95% passing accuracy.
