Following a season where FC Tucson went undefeated en route to a Women’s Pro Soccer League championship, the club had three players named to the all-conference team presented by Capelli Sport.
Forward Luz Duarte was joined by defenders Laura Pimienta and Priscilla Pimienta on the Desert Conference postseason all-star team.
FC Tucson went 7-0-1 with a +17 goal differential. Its 22 points was eight better than runner-up FC Arizona.

She recently signed a professional contract with Club Universidad Nacional, commonly known as Pumas, in the Liga MX.

Laura and Priscilla Pimienta were part of a defense that allowed just five goals and posted four shutouts — including holding opponents scoreless for the final 295 minutes of the season.
Both are 2016 graduates of the University of Arizona, after graduating from Tucson’s Mountain View High School. Laura was a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention and was a three-year starter.
Duarte scored a team-record 12 goals, including eight in her last four matches.
