FC Tucson put on a furious rally in the second half to pull even but found itself victim to a team that has an astonishing knack for winning at the death.
Midfielder Charlie Dennis came on as a substitute in the second half and netted two goals, including one in the 85th minute, for the Men in Black. But it was another second-half sub, Juan Galindrez, who garnered the game-winner as Chattanooga Red Wolves SC came away with a 3-2 at Kino North Stadium on Saturday night.
Providing a spark from the moment he stepped on the field in the 53rd minute, Dennis took a pass from Deri Corfe and charged forward before finding an opening and rocketing the ball home from 25 yards to cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 61st.

“Charlie really gave us a boost of good energy. He made a good impact which was exactly what we needed from him,” said FC Tucson coach John Galas.
The Englishman, who had missed two matches due to injury, pulled the Men in Black even in the 85th when he left-footed home a Daniel Bedoya free kick for his second goal of the match and the season.

But FC Tucson’s heroics were muted four minutes later when Chattanooga’s Galindrez picked up his second goal of the year when FC Tucson found itself stretched.
“About 56 percent of their goals come in the last 30 minutes and at the end we got stretched when we were going for it,” Galas said.
Chattanooga outshot FC Tucson, 23-10, but goalkeeper Wallis Lapsley made 10 saves — including a number of point-blank parries.
