TUCSON (June 4, 2019) — FC Tucson midfielder Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu was named to the USL League One Team of the Week for week 10 of the 2019 USL League One season the league announced today.
Wheeler-Omiunu found the back of the net in the 58th minute of the club’s 2-2 draw against Orlando City B last Friday at Kino North Stadium. The Bellingham, Massachusetts native also completed 40 of 48 passes and recorded seven recoveries.
Wheeler-Omiunu has logged the second most minutes played this season (720 minutes) and is just one of three USL League One players to play in a USL Championship match.
FC Tucson will be back in action this Saturday, June 8th when the club plays host to the Richmond Kickers. Kickoff is set for 7:30 P.M. The match will be televised via ESPN+.
