TUCSON (February,11 2019) — FC Tucson announced today the return of midfielder Luis Martinez for the 2019 USL League One season pending league and federation approval. Per club policy, the details of the contract will not be released.
“I’m excited and humbled by the opportunity given to me to represent the FC Tucson crest once again. I can’t wait to get back out there and get the season going.”
Martinez should serve as a familiar face to the fans of FC Tucson. He appeared in 13 matches for FCT back in 2015, netting four goals in USL League Two play.
He most recently featured with USL Championship side Oklahoma City Energy FC in 2017. Martinez appeared in 17 matches for the club.
Martinez played collegiately at Chico State University in Chico, California. In 66 career appearances for the Wildcats, he registered eight goals, 13 assists and 29 points over a four-year span.
With the addition of Martinez, FC Tucson’s roster now stands at 13 players for the 2019 USL League One season.
