TUCSON, Ariz. (January 30, 2019) — FC Tucson announced today it had signed former Phoenix Rising FC defender Kody Wakasa for the 2019 USL League One season. Per club policy, the details of the contract will not be released

Wakasa brings both USL experience and a winning mentality to Tucson. He most recently spent time with USL Championship side Phoenix Rising FC appearing in 13 matches for the club, nabbing 11 starts. Spanning the past two seasons, Wakasa has registered 42 appearances and 36 starts for Rising FC.
With the addition of Wakasa, FC Tucson’s roster now stands at four players for the 2019 USL League One season.
