Month of soccer features nine MLS clubs playing in a total of 16 matches; one international friendly

Tucson, AZ (Monday, December 3, 2012) — Today FC Tucson announced that tickets to all of its Tucson SoccerFest events are officially on sale. Tucson SoccerFest includes the Canada-Denmark International Friendly, The Desert Friendlies presented by FC Tucson and the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup.

A total of 17 matches, featuring nine MLS clubs and two international squads, will take place between January 26 and February 23. The closing match of Tucson SoccerFest, the final for the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup, will be televised live on NBC Sports Network on prime time television on the east coast at 6 p.m. local time.

The Canada-Denmark international friendly will take place on Saturday, January 26, at 1 p.m. and be held in Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium. It will be the first international friendly ever-hosted in Tucson.

The Desert Friendlies presented by FC Tucson, will take place between January 29th and February 8th and include eight matches featuring six different MLS clubs. FC Tucson will also be playing in two friendlies against MLS competition.

The 2013 FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup will take place over the course of four days: Wednesday, February 13th; Saturday, February 17th; Wednesday, February 20th and Saturday February 23rd. All matches will be played at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium. The teams will play a round-robin format through the first three dates. The tournament final and third-place game will be played on Saturday February 23rd.
