Romell Quioto will start the season in Houston will a little extra silverware in his cabinet.

The Honduran international started the 2017 campaign off with a bang in Tucson, helping the Dynamo capture their first ever Desert Diamond Cup title.

Quioto was instrumental in his side’s win over the Colorado Rapids in the final, slotting both goals past last year’s Western Conference finalists for a 2-0 victory, sealing the CARF International MVP award.

He also takes home the tournament’s Copper Boot, awarded to the highest scorer of the event.

Quioto’s three goals included a lightning quick counter against NYCFC in the second round, getting the Dynamo on the board within the first three minutes of kickoff.

Congratulations to the Houston Dynamo and Romell Quioto on a fantastic preseason display inside of Kino Sports Complex!
