Staff

Rick Schantz
Rick Schantz is the Head Coach and co-managing partner of FC Tucson and a co-founder of the Gunners competitive youth soccer program at Fort Lowell Soccer Club. He is also Assistant Principal of Imago Dei Middle School in downtown Tucson. During his soccer career he was an Arizona Daily Star Player of the Year, reached the NCAA College Cup Finals at the University of Portland and went on to play minor league soccer in the USISL.

Jonathan Pearlman
Jon Pearlman is the general manager, technical director and co-managing partner of FC Tucson. Since 2004 Jon has served as the executive director of coaching at Tanque Verde Soccer Club and the head soccer coach at Sabino High School since 2000. He has worked as a U.S. Soccer youth national team scout since 2010 and was a part of the Real Salt Lake youth system, based in Arizona, from 2007-2009. Jon completed his BA in political science in 1996 at Union College in New York where he played soccer all 4 years and served as captain his senior year. He also earned his teaching certificate from the University of Arizona in 2001. Jon holds a USSF “A” License.

Greg Foster
Greg Foster is a co-managing partner and heads up FC Tucson’s civic and media relationships. Greg is also a partner at Karp & Weiss law firm and has lived in Tucson for over 30 years. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Fort Lowell Soccer club and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona.

Chris Keeney
Chris Keeney is a co-managing partner of FC Tucson and Chief Business Officer. He eighteen year career in sports has spanned three MLS teams (D.C. United, Real Salt Lake and Columbus Crew), one NFL team (Houston Texans) and his own firm, A3 Sports Consulting. After a year and a half of commuting between Tucson and Houston, Chris now resides in Oro Valley with his wife, Berta, and daughters, Alex and Andi.

Kate Norton
Kate Norton is the Assistant General Manager and Director of Operations for FC Tucson, Girls Director of Coaching for Tanque Verde Soccer Club, and an Arizona Olympic Development Staff Coach. She played at the University of Cincinnati and FC Slovacko in the Czech Republic. Kate earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Science in Leadership.
Jeff Rogers
Jeff Rogers is an assistant coach with FC Tucson. Jeff is also the Tucson Soccer Academy Director of Coaching and the head coach of the TSA ’97 boys team. Jeff’s previous coaching experience includes being the head coach of the ’86 and ’87 boys Arizona Olympic Development Program teams. Jeff was also an assistant coach with CISL side Arizona Sandsharks. During his soccer career Jeff played 11 professional seasons (1985-1996) across three different leagues. (MISL, APSL, NPSL)
Henry Brauner
Henry Brauner is an assistant coach at FC Tucson. He is also an assistant coach at Pima Community College. Henry played his college soccer at Worcester State College and also played with the U-21 and U-23 Philippine national team. Henry is no stranger to the PDL. He was a member of the Cape Code Crusaders, the New Hampshire Phantoms and the 2009 national champion Ventura County Fusion.
Brandon Moran
Brandon Moran is the strength and conditioning coach for FC Tucson. Brandon is also a head coach at Tanque Verde Soccer club. He holds a Masters in Exercise Science with a concentration in human performance enhancement and injury prevention and a NSCAA national license. Brandon is a registered strength and conditioning coach with the National strength and conditioning association. As a 15-year veteran in soccer and athlete development he has trained athletes at every level. Brandon also works as an adjunct instructor in the physiology department at the University of Arizona.
John Sanchez
John Sanchez is the director of game operations for FC Tucson. John served four years in the Navy as an aviation electronic technician from 2000-2004 and is a veteran of Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom. John is currently continuing his education at the University of Arizona pursuing a Communications major with a minor in Sports Management. John has been with FC Tucson since just prior to the first Desert Cup. John was born and raised in the Tucson area and played soccer at Rincon High School. John has a wife (Celeste) and two children (Mason and Hannah)
H. Jose Bosch
H. Jose Bosch is the media relations and social media manager for FC Tucson and is in charge of all of FC Tucson’s social media account. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in English and History and he earned his Master’s degree from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism.
