TUCSON, Ariz. — As another FC Tucson Women’s season comes to a close, community involvement in the women’s game continues to grow.
This is FC Tucson’s third season, and Tucson’s fifth season having a Women’s Premier Soccer League team. For head coach Amy Garelick, seeing the game spread its roots throughout the community has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of coaching in the Old Pueblo.
Three local Long Realty Agents have come together to help support local soccer here in Tucson. Denice Osbourne, Matt Bollinger, Brian Connelly, are all proud parents of women’s soccer players that are involved with this years team.
The trio feel that supporting local soccer and specifically women’s soccer in Tucson is very important, and are proud to team up with Long Realty Company to be the exclusive residential and commercial real estate sponsor of this years team.
Their daughters, Avadney Gerard-Osbourne, Lauren Bollinger, and Kate Coleman have all helped contribute to the women’s side this season, as the team looks to close out the season second in the Pacific South division.
“It’s been so much fun to see our players come up through this community over the years, and now some of them are older players who have evolved and serve as mentors,” Garelick said.
For the trio from Long Realty, empowering these young women to better themselves through the highest level of women’s soccer in Southern Arizona is how Denice, Matt and Brian chose to support FC Tucson.
Finding the right place to call home is often the most important step in feeling like a part of the community, so please call any one of these proud parents if you have any real estate questions.
“What we have here with the girls has been a great experience,” Garelick said. “There’s nothing like it in any other community in the country.”
Watch the women close out the 2017 WPSL season at home Friday and Saturday, July 7th and 8th at 7:30 p.m. at Kino North Stadium against Strikers FC and FC Pacific.
