Second-year club nominated for marketing and communications awards.

Tucson, AZ (Friday, November 22, 2013) — Today United Soccer Leagues announced finalists for its end-of-year organizational awards and FC Tucson was nominated in two different categories for Premier Development League (PDL) clubs: marketing and communications. Last season, FC Tucson was named the PDL Rookie Franchise of the Year.

“We’re incredibly proud to be among the finalists for these two awards,” said the FC Tucson ownership group in a joint statement. “This kind of honor doesn’t come without the fervent support of our fans at home and abroad who followed the team on a daily basis during our 2013 regular season and our memorable 2013 U.S. Open Cup run.”

In the marketing category, FC Tucson was a finalist alongside Reading United AC and Victoria Highlanders FC. In the communications category, FC Tucson was a finalist alongside Reading United AC and the Austin Aztex.
