When FC Tucson closes out the regular season at home this Saturday, July 15th at 7 p.m. against the Colorado Rapids U23, it won’t be the average PDL affair.

The game will fall on Tucson Medical Center Noche Latina de Fútbol de Univision Arizona & La Poderosa, Benefiting Chicanos Por La Causa, which will help provide an electric atmosphere to Kino North Stadium that makes it one of the toughest venues in the league.

As the playoffs loom, here are three things to keep in mind heading into the weekend:

Music will fill the air

Saturday will feature live performances by Freddy Vega and Arizona Norte, presented by Vantage West. They’ll join the list of past performers including Los Centenarios, Tito y su Tuba Loka and La Picosa.

Fourth straight division title

With a 2-1 win against the BYU Cougars on Tuesday night, the Men in Black earned their fourth straight division title. After conquering the Southwest Division last year and earning the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, Tucson punched their ticket to the playoffs by clinching the Mountain Division.

So long, farewell

With the playoff bracket yet to be determined, Saturday’s match could be Tucson’s final home fixture of 2017. After hosting the Western Conference Playoffs the last three years, the team looks as though it could be California-bound for the postseason. Currently, Fresno sits in pole position and are in line to host.
